A day for saints. All Saints' Day is celebrated on November 1st in many parts of the world to honor all the saints of the Christian Church. A saint is someone who lived a deeply faithful life and did remarkable things to help others and spread their religion.

Ancient tradition. This holy day has been celebrated for over 1,000 years, with roots going back to when early Christians wanted to honor people who had died for their faith. It became an official Church holiday to remember not just the most famous saints, but ALL saints, including ones nobody knows about.

Different around the world. In many countries, All Saints' Day is a public holiday where people visit cemeteries, light candles, and remember loved ones who have passed away. In some places, families gather for special meals and celebrations, while in others it's more quiet and reflective.

Connection to Halloween. All Saints' Day comes right after Halloween on November 1st, which is actually connected to an older Celtic celebration called Samhain. Some people celebrate both days as part of a longer season of remembering and honoring the past.

Honoring good examples. By celebrating all saints, the Church reminds people of the positive examples set by those who lived with courage, kindness, and strong beliefs. Every believer is inspired to try living a good and meaningful life too.
