Sounds like a bull. Male bullfrogs make a deep, loud call that sounds like a bull bellowing during breeding season. That's exactly where they got their name!

Lives in big water. American bullfrogs prefer large permanent water bodies like swamps, ponds, and lakes, but they're also happy in human made places like pools, koi ponds, and canals.

Eats almost anything. Bullfrogs are generalist carnivores, which means they hunt and eat a wide variety of prey whenever they get the chance.

Has many predators. Even though bullfrogs are large and powerful, they're eaten by alligators, snakes, and birds that hunt them in the water and nearby.
