Atlantic Tarpon

Grows incredibly large. Atlantic tarpon can reach up to 8 feet long and weigh over 300 pounds, making them one of the biggest fish in coastal waters.

Shiny silver appearance. They're called the 'silver king' because their scales are bright and reflective, making them gleam like metal underwater.

Lives in many water types. You can find Atlantic tarpon in oceans, estuaries, lagoons, and rivers, bouncing between salt water and freshwater throughout their lives.

Travels across the Atlantic. These fish live from tropical places to cold regions, swimming all the way from Nova Scotia in Canada to Argentina at the bottom of South America.

Hunts with big appetite. Atlantic tarpon eat smaller fish and crustaceans like shrimp, using their large mouths to catch meals in the water.
