Smaller than a bee. The bee hummingbird is so small that it's actually tinier than many bees! It's the smallest bird species in the entire world.

Only in Cuba. These incredible birds live on the Caribbean island of Cuba and nowhere else naturally. They make their homes in forests and gardens across the island.

Hungry for nectar. Bee hummingbirds zoom from flower to flower drinking sweet nectar to fuel their super fast bodies. They also catch tiny insects to get extra protein.

Wings beat incredibly fast. Like all hummingbirds, their wings beat so many times per second that they're just a blur to our eyes. This lets them hover in place and fly backwards.

Delicate and beautiful. These birds have shimmering feathers that flash different colors in the light. Their tiny size and quick movements make them look almost magical.
