A sour soup tradition. Borscht is a beloved soup across Eastern Europe, Central Europe, and Northern Asia, made with meat stock, vegetables, and seasonings that give it its signature tangy taste.
Red from beets. The most famous version, especially in Ukraine, gets its distinctive deep red color from red beetroots as a main ingredient. This striking color makes borscht instantly recognizable.
