Cool Facts
Elastic cord magic. A thick, stretchy cord is attached to your body, and when you jump, gravity pulls you down until the cord stretches out and bounces you back up again, like a trampoline in the sky.
Jump from anywhere high. People bungee jump from bridges over deep valleys, tall buildings, cranes, and even hovering helicopters and hot-air balloons, as long as there's enough room for the cord to stretch.
The thrilling feeling. The best part is the free-fall at the start and then the sudden bounce back up, which makes your body feel weightless and gives you an incredible rush of adrenaline.
Bouncing up and down. After the initial jump and rebound, you keep bouncing up and down, getting a little smaller with each bounce, until all the energy runs out and you finally hang still.
