Striking black and white. Canada geese have bold black heads and necks with bright white cheeks and chins, plus brown bodies that make them unmistakable on any pond or lake.

Epic seasonal journeys. These geese are famous migrators that fly thousands of miles between their Arctic breeding grounds and warmer wintering areas, often traveling in V-shaped flocks.

Spread across the globe. Originally native only to North America, Canada geese have now been introduced to places like the United Kingdom, Japan, New Zealand, and even South America where they've become established.

Plant-eating waterfowl. Canada geese are mostly herbivores that graze on grasses and aquatic plants, preferring to live near fresh water but also adapting to marshes and coastal areas.
