Stretches for miles. The Cascade Range is a huge mountain chain that runs from British Columbia in Canada all the way down through Washington, Oregon, and into Northern California.

Home to volcanoes. The Cascades include some of North America's most famous volcanoes, called the High Cascades, plus regular rocky mountains too.

Mount Rainier reigns. The highest peak in the entire Cascade Range is Mount Rainier in Washington, which towers 14,411 feet into the sky.

Two kinds of peaks. Some mountains in the Cascades are just regular rocky peaks, while others are explosive volcanoes that were born from lava and fire.
