CN Tower

Built in 1976. The CN Tower was completed in Toronto, Ontario and was an incredible engineering achievement for its time. It became famous as one of the world's tallest structures.

553 meters high. The tower stretches 553.3 metres into the sky, which is about as tall as five soccer fields stacked on top of each other. That makes it taller than most skyscrapers.

Built by a railroad. Canadian National, a major railroad company, built the tower and gave it the name CN Tower. The tower was later transferred to a government company that manages real estate.

Great views inside. The tower was built to be an observation tower, meaning people can go inside and look out at Toronto and the surrounding area from way up high.

Downtown location. The tower sits in downtown Toronto on land that used to belong to the railroad, so it's in the heart of the city where lots of people can visit it.
