Horn overflowing. A cornucopia is shaped like a large horn that's crammed full of fruits, vegetables, flowers, and nuts, all tumbling out the sides to show there's so much food there's no room for it all.

Named after Amalthea. In Greek mythology, the cornucopia comes from a magical horn that belonged to Amalthea, who was the nurse that took care of the god Zeus when he was a baby.

Symbol of plenty. Ancient people used the cornucopia as a symbol to represent abundance, good harvests, and good fortune, almost like saying 'we have more than enough of everything.'

Thanksgiving tradition. You might see cornucopias displayed during Thanksgiving and autumn celebrations today, continuing the ancient tradition of showing gratitude for a bountiful harvest.
