Started in 1954. David Attenborough began his presenting career hosting a show called Zoo Quest more than 70 years ago, and he has never stopped sharing the magic of the natural world with audiences around the globe.

Made groundbreaking series. He created famous documentary series like Planet Earth, The Blue Planet, and Frozen Planet that showed people incredible animals and places they had never seen before in such stunning detail.

Record-breaking awards. He is the only person ever to win BAFTA Awards in every type of broadcast quality, from old black-and-white film all the way to the newest 4K resolution, because his work was so good across so many decades.

Voice of nature. Attenborough won three Primetime Emmy Awards for his incredible narration, bringing life and emotion to every creature and landscape his documentaries showed.

Honored everywhere. Universities around the world have given him dozens of honorary degrees because he educated billions of people about the importance of protecting nature and wildlife.
