Two types built. Dragon 2 comes in two flavors: Crew Dragon carries up to 4 astronauts, while Cargo Dragon hauls supplies and equipment to the space station.

Designed to be reused. Unlike old spacecraft that could only fly once, Dragon 2's capsule can be refurbished and launched again many times, saving time and money.

Made by SpaceX. SpaceX designed and built Dragon 2 themselves, and they operate it for flights to and from the International Space Station.

Splashes down safely. Instead of landing on legs, Dragon 2 returns to Earth by splashing down in the ocean with parachutes, where recovery ships pick it up.

Rides Falcon 9 rockets. Dragon 2 launches on top of SpaceX's powerful Falcon 9 Block 5 rocket, which can also be reused many times.
