Massive hoppers. Male eastern grey kangaroos can weigh up to 69 kilograms (152 pounds) and stretch longer than 2 meters from head to tail. That's about as heavy as an adult human and taller than most doorways.

Eastern Australia home. These kangaroos live in the eastern third of Australia, where there are several million of them hopping around. They're the most common kangaroo species in this region.

Misleading name. Even though 'giganteus' in their scientific name means 'giant,' the red kangaroo is actually bigger. Red kangaroos can weigh up to 90 kilograms, making them the true heavyweight champions of the kangaroo world.
