Started with berries. Knott's Berry Farm began in the 1920s when Walter Knott started growing boysenberries on his farm in Southern California. His wife Cordelia made delicious jam and pies from the berries, and soon people came from all around to buy them.
Became a park. In 1947, the berry farm officially opened as an amusement park with rides and attractions for visitors. What started as a small family farm had grown into something much bigger and more exciting.
Tons of rides today. The park now has over 40 rides and attractions, including ten amazing roller coasters that thrill visitors every day. It spreads across 57 acres of land in Buena Park, California.
Super popular now. Since 2016, Knott's Berry Farm gets more than 4 million visitors every year, making it one of the most-visited amusement parks in North America. That's a lot of people having fun in one place!
Owned by Six Flags. Today, Six Flags company owns and runs Knott's Berry Farm, keeping the tradition of fun and excitement going strong for new generations of visitors.
