Falcon Guardian. Horus was usually shown as a falcon or as a man with a falcon's head. Egyptologists think he was most likely depicted as either a lanner falcon or a peregrine falcon, birds known for their incredible hunting skills and keen eyesight.

God of Kings. Ancient Egyptian pharaohs, who were the kings, believed Horus protected them and gave them the right to rule. Horus was so important that his image and symbols appeared everywhere in Egyptian palaces and temples.

Solar Powers. Horus was connected to the sun and the sky, making him one of the most powerful forces in Egyptian religion. Different versions of Horus existed across Egyptian history, each emphasizing different gifts like healing or protection.

Ancient Worshipper. People worshipped Horus from prehistoric Egypt all the way through the Greek and Roman periods, making him one of Egypt's longest-honored gods. He stayed important to Egyptian culture for thousands of years.

Many Forms. Ancient Egyptians saw Horus as having different sides or versions, kind of like how a person can be a kid, a student, and a friend all at once. These different forms worked together rather than against each other in Egyptian beliefs.
