Super tough trees. Junipers are coniferous trees, meaning they stay green year-round and have cones instead of flowers. They belong to the cypress family and come in about 50 to 67 different species.

Found everywhere. You can find junipers across the Northern Hemisphere, from the Arctic to tropical Africa, and they also grow in parts of Asia and Central America. They're one of the most widely spread tree families on Earth.

Mountain champions. Junipers are incredible climbers that can grow higher than almost any other tree. The highest-known juniper forest grows at 4,900 metres in southeastern Tibet and the Himalayas, making it one of the highest tree lines on the planet.

Built to survive. These trees are built tough to handle harsh conditions like freezing cold, dry winds, and poor soil. Their ability to thrive in extreme places is what makes them such successful survivors.
