Rocket Equation Master. Tsiolkovsky developed the famous equation that explains how rockets work and how fast they can go. This math is still used by engineers today to design spacecraft.

Dreamed of Space. Long before anyone went to space, Tsiolkovsky imagined humans traveling to other planets and living in space stations. He wrote stories and designs about these wild ideas.

Taught Himself Everything. Tsiolkovsky was mostly self-taught and worked as a school teacher while developing his rocket theories. He spent his evenings studying physics and mathematics on his own.

Founded Modern Rocketry. Along with two other pioneers, Hermann Oberth and Robert Goddard, Tsiolkovsky laid the foundation for how rockets are built and how humans eventually reached space.
