Stand or walk. You can just stand still on a moving walkway and let it carry you, or you can walk on it to go even faster. Either way, you get where you're going without using as much energy.

Found in airports. Moving walkways are super common in airports and train stations where people need to cover long distances quickly, especially when they're carrying heavy luggage.

Goes both ways. Moving walkways are usually installed in pairs so one can carry people in one direction while the other carries people going the opposite way.

Like escalators inside. Moving walkways use technology very similar to escalators, with belts and motors underneath that make everything work smoothly.

Short to medium distance. These walkways are made for shorter trips, not super long journeys, and they can go flat or slightly uphill to help transport people efficiently.
