Southern African nation. Namibia is located in Southern Africa and touches the Atlantic Ocean on its western side. It shares borders with Angola, Zambia, Botswana, and South Africa, making it a crossroads of four different neighbors.
Land of dramatic landscapes. From the Namib Desert (one of the oldest deserts in the world) to coastal cliffs and inland plateaus, Namibia has some of the most stunning and varied terrain on the continent.
Capital city Windhoek. Windhoek is Namibia's largest city and serves as the heart of the country. It sits in a central valley surrounded by mountains.

Four countries meet nearby. In the northeast, there is a special spot where four countries almost touch each other: Namibia, Zambia, Zimbabwe, and Botswana come very close together along the Zambezi River near a place called Kazungula.
