Eight Home Consoles. Nintendo has made eight different home consoles for people to play in their living rooms, starting way back and continuing to today. Each one brought new games and better graphics to players around the world.

Portable Gaming Magic. Nintendo also created lots of handheld consoles that let you play games on the go, like the Game Boy and Nintendo DS. These portable systems became super popular because kids and adults could take their favorite games anywhere.

Nearly One Billion Sold. By March 2026, Nintendo had sold over 987 million console units across all their systems. That's almost enough for every person in the United States to own multiple Nintendo consoles!

Different Types of Hardware. Beyond regular consoles, Nintendo also made dedicated consoles (that play one specific game) and special hardware to go with their systems. This variety meant there was something for everyone, no matter what kind of games they loved.

Gaming Pioneer. Nintendo didn't just make consoles, they helped create the modern video game industry and kept it alive when people thought it was dying. Their creative ideas and fun games changed entertainment forever.
