Located on the southeastern Arabian Peninsula. Oman sits at the corner of West Asia where the Arabian Sea meets the Gulf of Oman, giving it an amazing coastline on two sides. It shares borders with Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Yemen.

Muscat is the capital. Muscat is Oman's largest city and the heart of the country. It sits right on the coast and is the main hub for people, business, and culture.

Musandam Peninsula location. Oman has two separate pieces of land called exclaves that are completely surrounded by the United Arab Emirates. Musandam is so strategically important that it controls part of the Strait of Hormuz, one of the world's busiest shipping routes.

About 5.46 million people. Oman is the third-largest country on the Arabian Peninsula by area, covering about 315,331 square kilometers, which is roughly the size of Poland.

Islamic country with Arabic roots. Islam is the official state religion and Arabic is the official language, reflecting Oman's deep cultural ties to the wider Middle Eastern region.
