Flattens everything flat. Road rollers use their heavy weight and a rotating drum to squash down loose materials like soil, gravel, and asphalt. The pressure from the roller compresses all the tiny spaces between particles, making the surface hard and stable.

Many shapes and sizes. Road rollers come in different designs. Some are smooth and heavy, while others have bumpy drums with spikes or small feet that dig into the ground for better grip.

Essential for roads. Before asphalt or concrete can be laid on a road, the ground underneath must be perfectly compacted and level. Road rollers do this job, creating a solid base that keeps roads from cracking and crumbling.
