Shoots stars upward. Roman candles work by ejecting one or more glowing balls (called stars) or small exploding shells into the air, creating a spectacular fountain of light and color that goes up, up, and away.

Comes in many sizes. Consumer Roman candles are tiny at just 6 millimeters wide, but professional displays use massive ones up to 8 centimeters across, packing way more punch and pizzazz.

Tube-shaped design. The firework is built as a tube filled with special powders and stars that ignite in sequence, shooting them out one at a time or in quick bursts for that cool crackling effect.

Multiple explosions. Unlike a single burst, Roman candles give you several smaller explosions in a row, creating a mesmerizing cascade of sparks and color that can last several seconds.
