Built for Big Jobs. Ships are giant watercraft designed to carry lots of cargo or many passengers across bodies of water. They're much larger and stronger than boats, built to handle long journeys and rough seas.

Shaped Human History. Ships made exploration, trade, and discovery possible. Without them, people couldn't have traveled between continents, traded goods across oceans, or discovered new lands.

Moving the World. Ship transport carries more cargo around the world than any other type of transportation. Most of the things you buy probably traveled on a ship at some point.
