Bendy board design. A springboard is made to flex and bend when you stand on it, then snap back up really fast. This springy action launches divers high into the air so they have time to flip and twist before hitting the water.

How it works. The board works like a cantilever, which means one end is firmly attached while the other end hangs free and can move. When you jump on it, your weight pushes the free end down, and then the board's springiness pushes you back up.

Perfect for tricks. Divers use springboards because they get extra height and control. This gives them enough time and space to do incredible flips, twists, and spins before diving into the pool.

Different heights. Springboards come in different heights, with 1 meter and 3 meter boards being the most common in diving competitions. The higher the board, the more time the diver has in the air.

Needs water below. Springboards are always set up over water, whether in pools, lakes, or cliffs. The bouncy board helps divers enter the water cleanly and safely after their acrobatic moves.
