Named after Shakespeare. Titania is named after the fairy queen in Shakespeare's famous play A Midsummer Night's Dream. William Herschel discovered it in 1787 and chose this magical name.

Eighth largest moon. Titania is the biggest moon of Uranus and the eighth-largest moon in the whole Solar System, with a diameter of about 1,578 kilometers. That makes it bigger than Earth's moon.

Icy and cratered. Titania's surface is covered in ice and has deep canyons and craters from ancient impacts. Scientists think it might even have cryovolcanoes that shoot water and ice instead of hot lava.

Protected by magnetosphere. Titania orbits inside Uranus's magnetosphere, which is like a protective magnetic shield around the planet. This shields the moon from dangerous solar wind.

Mystery world. We know surprisingly little about Titania because it's so far away. The Voyager 2 spacecraft gave us our best close-up pictures in 1986.
