Glowworms glow bright. The cave is home to Arachnocampa luminosa, a special type of glowworm found only in New Zealand. These tiny creatures produce their own light to attract insects to eat.
Boat rides underground. Visitors float quietly on a boat through the cave chamber while gazing up at thousands of glowworms dotting the ceiling like stars.
World's top glowworm spot. Waitomo is the most visited glowworm display in the entire world, drawing tourists from everywhere who want to see nature's own light show.
