Tallest when new. Willis Tower opened in 1973 as the world's tallest building, holding that title for nearly 25 years before other skyscrapers grew even higher.

1,451 feet high. This building reaches 1,451 feet into the sky with 110 stories, making it tall enough to see from miles away across Chicago.

Amazing views from top. The Skydeck observation deck at the top is the highest in the United States, and more than 1.7 million people visit it every year to see the spectacular views.

Movie star building. Willis Tower has appeared in tons of films and TV shows set in Chicago because it's so recognizable and impressive.

Brilliant engineers. Famous architect Bruce Graham and engineer Fazlur Rahman Khan designed this masterpiece together as part of a company called Skidmore, Owings & Merrill.
