Bright yellow color. The yellow tang is so strikingly yellow that it's one of the most wanted fish for home aquariums around the world.

Spawns at full moon. These fish have a special breeding pattern where they release eggs and sperm around the time of the full moon.

Algae-eating helper. Yellow tangs spend their days munching on algae that grows on coral reefs, which helps keep the reef ecosystem healthy.

Sharp hidden barb. Just before their tail fin, yellow tangs have a white barb they can use to protect themselves from predators or rival fish.
