Creates movement. Animators draw or design hundreds of frames (individual pictures) that play really fast in a row, kind of like flipping pages in a flipbook to make something appear to move.

Many artistic styles. Different animators use different methods, like hand-drawing, clay modeling, or computer graphics, depending on what kind of animation they want to create.

Team effort. Making an animated movie or show takes so much work that animators collaborate with other artists to divide up all the drawings and special effects.

Works everywhere. You'll find animators creating pictures for films, television shows, video games, and tons of other places where moving images need to look awesome.

Super labor-intensive. Animation is just as demanding and time-consuming as making regular movies, because creating smooth, realistic movement requires incredible patience and skill.
