Arctic Hare

Built for freezing. Arctic hares have short ears, thick fat, and a heavy fur coat that help them survive in the icy Arctic tundra where most animals cannot live.

Incredibly speedy. These hares can run up to 60 kilometers per hour, which is as fast as a car driving through town.

Cozy snow homes. Arctic hares dig burrows in the ground or under the snow to stay warm and sleep safely from the cold and predators.

Cuddle for warmth. While they usually live alone, arctic hares sometimes huddle together with dozens of other hares to share body heat during the harshest weather.

Shorter than rabbits. Unlike regular rabbits, arctic hares have much shorter ears and taller back legs, which helps them stay warm in their frozen home.
