Argon

Third most abundant gas. Argon is the third most common gas in our atmosphere, right after nitrogen and oxygen. There's way more argon around you than water vapor or carbon dioxide.

Super unreactive element. Argon belongs to a special group called noble gases, which means it almost never combines with other elements to make new substances. It just floats around on its own.

Used in light bulbs. Argon gas fills many electric light bulbs and fluorescent lights, where it helps produce the glow of light without burning out the filament inside.

Invisible all around. Even though argon makes up about 0.934% of the air you breathe, you can't see it, taste it, or smell it because it's completely colorless and odorless.
