Incredibly Tall. Astrodon grew to about 30 feet high, which is roughly as tall as a three-story building. That's taller than most trees in a forest.

Gentle Leaf Eater. Despite its enormous size, Astrodon only ate plants and leaves from tall trees. Its long neck helped it reach food that other dinosaurs couldn't access.

Eastern US Home. Astrodon lived in what is now the eastern United States during the Early Cretaceous period, about 112 million years ago. Fossils of this dinosaur have been found in rocks called the Arundel Formation.

Heavy as Elephants. Astrodon weighed about 20 metric tons, which is roughly the same as 30 large elephants put together. Moving all that weight required strong, pillar-like legs.
