Incredibly crowded. Bangladesh has almost 176 million people living in an area of about 57,321 square miles, making it one of the most densely populated countries on Earth. That's like fitting the entire population of Russia into a space the size of Iowa.

Located in South Asia. Bangladesh sits in South Asia and shares borders with India to the north, west, and east, and Myanmar to the southeast. It also has a beautiful coastline along the Bay of Bengal to its south.

Capital city Dhaka. Dhaka is Bangladesh's capital and largest city, serving as the country's political, financial, and cultural heart. It's the center of everything important happening in Bangladesh.

Busy port city. Chittagong is Bangladesh's second-largest city and home to the country's busiest port, making it crucial for trade and shipping. Ships from all over the world dock there to move goods in and out of Bangladesh.

Surrounded by neighbors. Bangladesh is separated from Bhutan and Nepal by a narrow corridor of Indian territory called the Siliguri Corridor, and it's separated from China by the Indian state of Sikkim to its north. Its position makes it a bridge between different parts of Asia.
