Handles cash daily. Bank tellers receive, count, and give out money to customers every single day. They have to be super accurate because even one dollar mistake matters.

Checks and deposits. When you deposit a check or withdraw money, a teller processes that transaction for you. They verify that everything is correct before completing the exchange.

Customer helpers. Tellers are often the first bank employees customers meet. They answer questions about accounts, explain services, and make sure people understand their banking options.

Math and accuracy. Tellers must be excellent at math and extremely careful with numbers. At the end of each day, they count their drawer to make sure every penny matches the records.

Face of the bank. Tellers represent the bank to customers every day. Being friendly, honest, and trustworthy is just as important as handling money correctly.
