Found T-Rex first. In 1902, Barnum Brown discovered the first documented remains of Tyrannosaurus rex in Montana. This discovery changed everything we knew about ancient dinosaurs.

Nicknamed Mr. Bones. Everyone called him Mr. Bones because he spent his whole life hunting for fossils. The nickname stuck because he was so passionate about finding dinosaur skeletons.

Explored for decades. Brown worked as a fossil hunter from the late 1800s into the early 1900s. He traveled to remote places and dug up hundreds of amazing bones that taught us about prehistoric life.

Museum scientist. He worked for the American Museum of Natural History in New York. His discoveries filled museum displays that kids and families still visit today.

Amazing digger. Brown was known for carefully uncovering fossils without damaging them. His techniques helped other paleontologists learn how to properly excavate bones from the ground.
