Two completely different worlds. Bolivia has the high, snowy Andes mountains in the west and steamy tropical rainforests in the east, so you can experience totally different climates and wildlife depending on where you go in the country.

Home to the Pantanal. Bolivia contains part of the Pantanal, which is the biggest tropical wetland on Earth, filled with amazing wildlife like jaguars, caimans, and colorful birds.

Two capitals instead of one. Bolivia has La Paz, where the government leaders work, and Sucre, where the courts are, which is unusual because most countries pick just one capital city.

Surrounded by five neighbors. Bolivia is landlocked, meaning it has no ocean coastline, but it's bordered by Brazil, Peru, Chile, Argentina, and Paraguay, making it a crossroads of South America.

Mountain people and lowland cities. While most Bolivians live in the Andes region, the biggest city Santa Cruz de la Sierra is actually down in the tropical lowlands, where factories and industries are booming.
