Carries dozens of people. Buses hold between 30 and 100 passengers normally, but some giant buses can fit up to 300 people. That is way more than a regular car.

Different sizes for different jobs. City buses are single-deck, while double-decker buses stack passengers to carry more people. Long, bendy articulated buses can haul even bigger crowds down busy streets.

Some are free, some cost money. City buses and coaches usually charge you a fare to ride, but school buses and campus shuttles are free because they serve specific groups.

Special drivers needed. Bus drivers need a special large vehicle licence beyond a regular driving license because buses are so much bigger and heavier than normal cars.

Short trips or long journeys. City buses stop frequently for local trips, while coaches are designed for longer distances between towns and cities without many stops.
