Money handler. Cashiers work at the point of sale, which is the checkout counter where customers pay for their items. They take the money, make change, and give you your receipt.

More than just cash. While they're called cashiers, they handle all kinds of payments including coins, bills, credit cards, and digital payments on their register.

Banks need them too. Cashiers also work in banks and are responsible for receiving money from customers and giving out cash when people make withdrawals.

Number wizards. Cashiers have to be quick with math and careful to count money correctly so the register balances at the end of each shift.
