Cheese is the star. Cheesecake gets its name and main flavor from soft fresh cheese, which makes it rich and creamy unlike any other cake you've tasted.

Crunchy bottom layer. The base is made from crushed cookies, digestive biscuits, graham crackers, or pastry pressed together to create a delicious crunchy foundation.

Served ice cold. Most cheesecake is served chilled, which makes the creamy filling extra smooth and gives it a perfect, fudgy texture.
