Three lucky leaves. Clover plants almost always have three leaves, which is why people say finding a four-leaf clover brings good luck. The three-leaf shape is so common that it earned clover the nickname 'trefoil,' which means 'three leaves' in Latin.

Tiny colorful flowers. Clover flowers come in shades of red, white, or yellow and are very small, growing in tight clusters. Bees absolutely love these flowers because they make sweet nectar that bees use to make honey.

Knee-high plant. Most clovers grow between 10 to 30 centimeters tall, roughly the height of your hand to your knee. Even though they are small plants, they cover fields and yards with bright green leaves and pretty flowers.

Grows almost everywhere. You can find clover growing wild in fields, lawns, and roadsides in many parts of the world. It is so common that most people have walked past clover without even noticing it.

Helps soil grow stronger. Clover is special because it takes nitrogen from the air and puts it into the soil, making the ground better for other plants to grow. Farmers sometimes plant clover on purpose to improve their soil naturally.
