Daisy cousins. Cosmos belong to the same plant family as daisies and sunflowers. They have the same kind of flower shape with petals arranged around a yellow center.

From the Americas. These flowers originally grew wild in Mexico and Central and South America before people started growing them in gardens all around the world.

Rainbow of colors. Cosmos flowers come in pink, red, orange, yellow, and white. Some varieties even have striped or spotted petals that look like someone painted them by hand.

Easy to grow. Cosmos are super popular with gardeners because they're tough, don't need much water, and bloom all summer long. They're perfect for kids starting their first garden.

Butterfly magnets. The bright flowers attract butterflies, bees, and other pollinators that help make new flowers and seeds.
