Plastic sticks and ball. Players use specialized lightweight floorball sticks to hit a plastic ball around the court, making the sport faster and safer than ice hockey.

Five players plus goalie. Each team has five outfield players and one goalkeeper on the court at the same time, working together to score and defend.

Indoor court size. The game is played on a 40 by 20 meter court (about the size of a large gym) that is surrounded by boards to keep the ball in play.

Three periods. A standard floorball match has three twenty-minute periods, with the team that scores the most goals winning the game.

Super speedy action. Floorball is known for being incredibly fast and exciting, with quick passing and lots of scoring chances that keep fans on the edge of their seats.
