Living fishing rod. Frogfish have a special fin on their head that works like a fishing rod, complete with a glowing lure at the tip to attract smaller fish in the dark ocean.
Mouth vacuum cleaner. These fish can stretch their mouths incredibly wide and suck in prey almost as large as their own bodies in just a fraction of a second.
Tropical ocean dwellers. You can find frogfish in warm tropical and subtropical oceans all around the world, except in the chilly Mediterranean Sea.
Masters of disguise. Many frogfish come in wild colors and patterns that help them blend in with corals and seaweed on the ocean floor so prey won't spot them waiting.
Weird walkers. Instead of swimming like normal fish, frogfish have stubby fins that let them walk along the ocean bottom like tiny, strange creatures exploring the seafloor.
