Huge ears hear everything. Galagos have enormous ears that can move independently to catch the tiniest sounds in the night. This helps them hunt insects and avoid predators even in total darkness.

Night shift hunters. These small primates are nocturnal, meaning they sleep during the day and wake up at night to search for food. They eat mostly insects like grasshoppers and termites, but also fruit and tree sap.

Super jumpers. Galagos have incredibly strong back legs and can leap many times their own body length through trees. This bouncy ability is why some people call them bush babies, because they seem to jump around like playful children.

African tree dwellers. These tiny primates live in forests and woodlands across sub-Saharan Africa. They make their homes high in trees where they are safe from bigger predators on the ground.

Relatives of slow lorises. Galagos are most closely related to lorises, another type of small primate. Together, they make up a special group of primates that evolved separately from other monkeys and apes.
