Massive blade flattens. A grader has a very long blade underneath it that can be adjusted up, down, and at different angles to scrape and level dirt and gravel on the ground.

Started with horses. The very first graders were pulled behind horses by teams of workers, and later they were towed by tractors before they became self-powered machines.

Builds our roads. Graders are essential for construction because they smooth out the ground before workers can pave roads, parking lots, and building sites.

Steers with precision. Modern motor graders have powerful engines and special steering systems that let operators make very fine adjustments to create perfectly flat surfaces.
