Royal Charter School. Christ's Hospital was given a royal charter, which is a special permission from the monarch that makes it extra official and important. This happened way back in 1553, making it one of England's oldest continuously operating schools.

Founded for Kindness. The school was started to give poor children a chance at a good education, which was pretty revolutionary at the time. Founder Edward VI believed that all smart kids deserved learning opportunities, not just rich ones.

Moved to Sussex. The school started in London but later moved south to Horsham in West Sussex, where it sits today surrounded by beautiful countryside. This big move gave the school plenty of space to grow and thrive.

Boarding School Life. Students live at the school during term time, so they get the full boarding school experience with dorms, dining halls, and lots of school traditions. This creates a tight-knit community where friendships run deep.

Famous Alumni. Many accomplished people studied at Christ's Hospital, from poets to scientists to leaders. The school is proud of helping shape some of Britain's brightest minds over the centuries.
