Cool Facts
Legendary Fellowship. The Knights of the Round Table were King Arthur's special group of knights who appeared first in French stories from around the 1100s. They were devoted to keeping peace in Arthur's kingdom after lots of fighting.
The Round Table. The knights sat at a circular table instead of a regular rectangular one, which meant everyone was equal, no matter if they were kings or less important nobles. This shape made it so nobody had to sit at the head or foot of the table.
The Holy Grail Quest. Later on, the knights went on a super important and magical search for the Holy Grail, a legendary cup believed to have special powers. This quest became one of the most famous adventures in all of Arthur's kingdom.
Chivalric Order. The Knights followed a code of honor called chivalry, which meant being brave, loyal, and protecting others. They were like a club or team dedicated to doing good deeds and fighting for justice.
