Mixed teams always. Every korfball team has exactly four girls and four boys playing together, which makes it unique compared to most sports.

Basket has no net. The korfball basket is mounted 3.5 meters high on a pole and has no net, so the ball bounces back out for exciting fast action.

Created in 1902. A Dutch schoolteacher named Nico Broekhuysen invented korfball in the Netherlands over 120 years ago.

Spread around the world. What started in one Dutch classroom has grown into a sport played by thousands of people across many countries.
