Nestled in mountains. Liechtenstein sits right in the Alps between Switzerland and Austria. It's so small that you could drive across the entire country in less than an hour.

Doubly landlocked. Not only is Liechtenstein surrounded by land, but the countries around it are also landlocked. This makes it extra special and unusual.

Still has a prince. Liechtenstein is a principality, which means it's ruled by a prince, not a president. The prince is the head of the government.

Wealthy and modern. Even though it's tiny, Liechtenstein is one of the richest countries in the world. It has banks, museums, and beautiful castles to visit.

Very old country. Liechtenstein has been around since 1719 and kept its independence for centuries. It didn't join the United Nations until 1990, making it one of the last countries to do so.
